Why Love Cornwall

Why try to get the whole Duchy motivated for mission? Because there is a crying need! Not because we want to keep our chapels going just as they always have been; certainly not ‘To see me out’ as more than one person has said to me: but because there is such a dire need in our county, country, culture for purpose and meaning, and the real purpose and meaning of life can only be found in a experience of God through Jesus Christ.

Having largely abandoned Biblical Christian teaching in favour of political correctness and the culture of ‘I deserve to have everything I want (never mind who pays) and have the right to do everything I want to do (regardless of who suffers), we see the results in broken homes, rootless kids, rebellious teenagers and generations of people desperately searching for meaning and fulfillment in all the wrong places.
Somehow we have to get the Gospel back where it belongs - in the heart of our communities, and we can only do this by getting it back into the hearts of people - one person at a time, beginning with ourselves! When Christ is at the centre of our lives He will enable us to share our faith and experience with others.
