But all churches can have a prayer request book / box. Have more than one - what about one at the church building, one at the village shop and one at the pub? (Make sure you do collect the requests and pray for them though.)
If your building is open play meditative music or lively worship music with the doors open so people are attracted in. What sort of people live in your community? Would they be more likely to enjoy 'Spring Harvest' type contemporary music, Taize or Gregorian chant, or traditional hymns from King's College choir or an organ voluntary?
Start a 'Prayer Wall'. This is a little different to a 'graffiti wall'. The latter is prayers and pictures scrawled randomly on a paper lined surface (wall or screen). A prayer wall is 'built' by laying regular sheets of paper like bricks. Coloured sugar paper can give a very attractive effect, especially if strips of white or cream paper are used as 'mortar'.
