Do a Kids Club. If you don't have the resources to do it yourselves, could you work together with another church in your community or with another congregation in your circuit? Could you manage to do a whole week or would it be more manageable to provide one day of first class Christian activity for children? Have a look at the Bible Society material, or Scripture Union or Kevin Mayhew - there are loads of schemes available. Your nearest children’s worker could advise you. Later in the year it is hoped to have a bonanza day for kids from across the county, paired with a 'Stress Busting Pamper Day' for their Mums.
Don't just do a Kids Club! Follow it up! What can you lay on into the future for the children who have come to your club and for their families? Sunday School is no longer the best option! What could you do instead - some sort of after school club or activity? Regular story telling? Perhaps an alternative worship event for young families?
